Suresh Raina is an Indian professional cricketer. He was born on November 27, 1986 in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Raina was an aggressive left-handed middle-order batsman. And an occasional off-spin bowler.

At the age of 16, Raina was selected for the U-17 team for their tour of Sri Lanka. Later, In February 2003, He made his Ranji Trophy debut against Assam, playing only one match. However, He was named for the 2004 U-19 World Cup in which he scored three half-centuries. Later, Raina made his List A debut against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy one-day tournament in 2005.

On July 29, 2005 Suresh Raina made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. unfortunately, He was dismissed for a ‘Golden Duck’. After poor performance raina was drop out from a team. Later, Raina was then brought into the Test squad for the tour of Sri Lanka in July and August 2010. However, He made his debut in the Second Test after Yuvraj Singh was ill.

Moreover, He played some crucial knocks in quarter-final and semi-final of the World Cup which helped India to win the 2011 ICC Cricket WorldCup.

However, Chennai Super Kings bought him for $650k in the 2008 IPL auction. He is the first and only player to have scored over 400 runs in 7 consecutive ( 2008–2014) IPL seasons. Also, Raina is the first Indian batsman to score centuries in all the three formats of the game.

On 15 August, 2020 Raina joined Mahendra Singh Dhoni when he took to his Instagram account to announce his retirement from all formats of international cricket.
